Polhov Gradec Public Library operates in the Polhov Gradec Manor and provides more than 6,000 units of library material from different fields of human creation. The library material is suitable for all age groups, for different needs and tastes. The neighbouring building, i.e. the manor provides the Internet access and the use of a word processor. Amateur librerian Maya Puric runs the library.
People's Library Polhov Gradec was established around 1950 by Workers' Cultural Society Polhov Gradec. Initially, the library operated in a multi-purpose home. As early as in 1974, Prežihov Voranc Public Library assumed responsibility for the provision and processing of library material. Many women amateur librarians maintained a continuous library service. In 1998, the library moved to the Polhov Gradec Manor.
The library has also a fairly small collection of video cassettes, DVDs and CDs. It has neither newspapers nor magazines.
