Zalog Library is located in the building of former primary school and offers a diverse and wide selection of fiction and non-fiction. You can also borrow films, fairy tales for children and songs on CDs.
In the reading room you can choose from more than 20 titles of magazines and newspapers. All issues except the current one can be borrowed for home use. Computers and access to the internet are available.
There is a special place for the youngest – a children's play corner with numerous toys to play with. Once a week we organize story time. The library takes part in Unicef system of Safe points.
Due to inappropriate architecture the library is not accessible for disabled visitors. Nevertheless, it represents an important cultural junction of the area, where reading meetings, art exhibitions, mainly by the residents of Zalog, art workshops for children and other well-attended events take place.
The library takes pride in its excellent collection of minerals and fossils, which has been professionally prepared and arranged by Bogdan Jurkošek, PhD and Tea Jurkošek, PhD in collaboration with librarian Matjaž Rolih.
