The Brdo library is located in the first floor of the firehouse and post office building at Brdnikova street 14. Although with merely 54 square meters of space it is a small library, it nevertheless offers a collection of 14 000 units of library materials for all age-groups. Access to internet and to electronic databases is also provided for.

Besides book material members may also borrow non-book materials, mostly films, language courses, CDs for the youth. The library offers a rich collection of youth-books and of picture-books.

Literary quizzes and riddles are regularly prepared, visiting groups from the nearby kindergarten are hosted and a monthly fairy-tale hour is organized by the library.

Due to its smallness the library has a smaller number of members, for which reason an available issue of a book that is borrowed in other libraries may often be obtained in our library.

The Brdo Library stopped operating on December 19th 2013. It has been replaced by the Mobile Library, which has one of its bus stops at the parking lot in front of the building at Brdnikova 14, where The Brdo Library had been located. The Bibliobus shall visit this bus-stop twice a month on Fridays between 16.30 and 18.30.

The borrowed materials from the Brdo Library can be returned to the Prežihov Voranc Library, to the Grba Library or to the Mobile library. To extend the loan period of borrowed materials from the Brdo Library call 01 244 35 74 or 041 664 009 or e-mail us at This email address is being protected from spambots.
